Isa 11:2-3

2 The Spirit of the Yahweh will rest on him—the spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the spirit of counsel and of power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Yahweh—3 and he will delight in the fear of the Yahweh. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears.

Mark 4:26-29

26 He also said, "This is what the Kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground.  27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.  28 All by itself the soil produces grain--first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.  29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come."

Mark 4:30-32; Matt 13:31-32 = Luke 13:18-19

Mark 4

30 Again he said, "What shall we say the Kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it?  31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground.  32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade."

Matthew 13

31 He told them another parable: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field.  32 Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches."

Luke 13

18 Then Jesus asked, "What is the Kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? 19 It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches."

Matt 13:33 = Luke 13:20

Matt 13:33

He told them still another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough."

Luke 13:20

Again he asked, "What shall I compare he Kingdom of God to?  It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough."

Matt 13:24-30, 36-43

24 Jesus told them another parable: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.  25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.  26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.  27 "The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'  28 "'An enemy did this,' he replied. "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'  29 "'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them.  30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'"

36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field."  37 He answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.  38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one,  39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.  40 "As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.  41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.  42 They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Matt 13:44; Matt 13:45-46

Matt 13:44

"The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

Matt 13:45-46

45 "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.  46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Matt 13:47-50

47 "Once again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.  48 When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.  49 This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous 50 and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matt 13:51-52

51 "Have you understood all these things?" Jesus asked. "Yes," they replied.  52 He said to them, "Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the Kingdom of Heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old."

Matt 18:23-35

23 "Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.  24 As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.  25 Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. 26 "The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.' 27 The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go. 28 "But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii.  He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded. 29 "His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.'  30 "But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31 When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened.  32 "Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to.  33 Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?'  34 In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.  35 "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."

Matt 20:1-15

1 "For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire men to work in his vineyard. 2 He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day and sent them into his vineyard.  3 "About the third hour he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing.  4 He told them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.'  5 So they went. "He went out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour and did the same thing.  6 About the eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, 'Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?' 7 "'Because no one has hired us,' they answered. "He said to them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard.'  8 "When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, 'Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.'  9 "The workers who were hired about the eleventh hour came and each received a denarius.  10 So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius.  11 When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner.  12 'These men who were hired last worked only one hour,' they said, 'and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.'  13 "But he answered one of them, 'Friend, I am not being unfair to you. Didn't you agree to work for a denarius?  14 Take your pay and go. I want to give the man who was hired last the same as I gave you.  15 Don't I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?'

Mark 2:21-22 = Matt 9:16-17 = Luke 5:36-38

Mark 2

21 "No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse.  22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, he pours new wine into new wineskins."

Matthew 9

16 "No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse.  17 Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."

Luke 5

36 He told them this parable: "No one tears a patch from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old.  37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined.  38 No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins.

Mark 4:1-9, 13-20 = Matt 13:1-9, 18-23 = Luke 8:4-8, 11-15

Mark 4

1 Again Jesus began to teach by the lake. The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water's edge. 2 He taught them many things by parables, and in his teaching said:  3 "Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed.  4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.  5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was
shallow.  6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.  7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain.  8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, multiplying thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times."  9 Then Jesus said, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

13 Then Jesus said to them, "Don't you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable?  14 The farmer sows the word.  15 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.  16 Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. 17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.  18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word;  19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.  20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop--thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what was sown."

 Matthew 13

1 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake.  2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore.  3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: "A farmer went out to sow his seed.  4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.  5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow.  6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.  7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.  8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop--a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.  9 He who has ears, let him hear."

18 "Listen then to what the parable of the sower means:  19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.  20 The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.  22 The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful.  23 But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

Luke 8

4 While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable:  5 "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up.  6 Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture.  7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown."  When he said this, he called out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

11 "This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.  12 Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.  13 Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root.  They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.  14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.  15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

Mark 4:21 = Luke 8:16

Mark 4

21 He said to them, "Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed?  Instead, don't you put it on its stand?

Luke 8

16 "No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed.  Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.

Luke 6:46-49 = Matt 7:24-27

Luke 6

46 "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? 47 I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice.  48 He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.  49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete."

Matthew 7

24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.  26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

Luke 11:33 = Matt 5:15

Luke 11

33 "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.

 Matthew 5

15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

Luke 13:22-30 = Matt 7:13-14; (21) 22-23

 Luke 13

22 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem.  23 Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He said to them, 24 "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'  26 "Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'  27 "But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!' 28 "There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves will be thrown out.  29 People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.  30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last."

Matthew 7

13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.  14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

( 21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.)

22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'  23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Matt 18:10-14 = Luke 15:3-7

Matthew 18

10 "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. 12 "What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?  13 And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.  14 In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.

Luke 15

3 Then Jesus told them this parable:  4 "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?  5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders  6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.'
7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Luke 15:8-10

8 "Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?  9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.'  10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

Luke 15:11-31

11 Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons.  12 The younger one said to his father,  'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.  13 "Not long  after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.  14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.  15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that  country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.  16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that  the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.  17 "When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!  18 I willset out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.  19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.'  20 Sohe got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.  21 "The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthyto be called your son.'  22"But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him.  Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.  23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let'shave a feast and celebrate.  24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and isfound.' So they began to celebrate.  25 "Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.  26 So he called one of the servants and asked himwhat was going on.  27 'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened  calf because he has him  back safe and sound.'  28 "The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him.  29 But he answered his father, 'Look! All these  years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a  young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.  30 But when this son of yours who has   squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'  31 "'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.  32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'"

Mark 1:14-15 = Matt 4:17

Mark 1

14 After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15 "The time has come," he said,"The Kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe the good news!"

Matthew 4

17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven has drawn near."

Mark 9:1 = Matt 16:28 = Luke 9:27

Mark 9

1 And he said to them, "I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Kingdom of God come in power."

Matthew 16

28 "I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his Reign."

Luke 9

27 "I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Kingdom of God."

Mark 9:43-48 = Matt 18:8-9

Mark 9

43 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out.  45 And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into Gehenna.  47 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the Kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into Gehenna, 48 where "'their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.'

Matthew 18

8 If your hand or your foot causes you to sin cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.  9 And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of Gehenna.

Mark 10:15 = Luke 18:17

Mark 10:15

I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

Luke 18:17

I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

Mark 10:23-25 = Matt 19:23-24 = Luke 18:24-25

Mark 10

23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!" 24 The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, "Children, how hard it is to enter the Kingdom of God!  25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God." 26 The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, "Who then can be saved?" 27 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

Matthew 19

23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.  24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God." 25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?" 26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

 Luke 18

24 Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!  25 Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God." 26 Those who heard this asked, "Who then can be saved?" 27 Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God."

Luke 11:1-2 = Matt 6:9-10

Luke 11

1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples." 2 He said to them, "When you pray, say: "'Father, may your name be sanctified, may your Kingdom come.

Matthew 6

9 "This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, may your name be sanctified, 10 may your Kingdom come, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Luke 12:22-32 = Matt 6:25-34

Luke 12

22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.   23 Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.  24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!  25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?  26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?  27 "Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!  29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it.  30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.  31 But seek his Kingdom, and these things will be added unto to you.  32 "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

Matthew 6

25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?  26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?  28 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.  29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?  31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Luke 16:16 = Matt 11:12-13

Luke 16

16 The Law and the Prophets were until John. Since that time, the good news of the Kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.

Matthew 11

12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it. 13 For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John.

Luke 17:20-21

Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, he answered them and said, "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; 21 nor will they say, "Look, here it is" or, "There it is" For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst."

Matt 18:3

3 And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you repent and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Matt 19:11-12

11 Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given.  12 For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage [or have made themselves eunuchs] because of the Kingdom of Heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it."

Matt 23:13

Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the Kingdom of Heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

Mark 4:22-23 = Luke 8:17

 Mark 4

22 For there is nothing hidden except for the purpose that it may be manifested, and there is nothing concealed except for the purpose that it may be brought out into the open. 23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."

 Luke 8

17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.

Mark 4:25 = Matt 13:12 = Luke 8:18

Mark 4

Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him."

Matthew 13

Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

Luke 8

Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken from him."

Luke 19:26 = Matt 25:29

Luke 19:26

I say to you that to all who all it will be given, but from all who do not have what they do have will be taken.

Matt 25:29

For to one who has it will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who does not have, indeed, what he does have will be taken from him.

Mark 10:28-31 = Matt 19:27-30 = Luke 18:29-30

Mark 10

28 Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!" 29 "I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel  30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields —and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first."

Matthew 19

27 Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?"  28 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of
Israel.  29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.  30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Luke 18

29 "I tell you the truth," Jesus said to them, "no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the Kingdom of God  30 will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life."

Mark 12:18-27 = Matt 22:23-33 = Luke 20:27-40

 Mark 12

18 Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question.
19 "Teacher," they said, "Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and have children for his brother.  20 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children.  21 The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third.  22 In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too.  23 At the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?"  24 Jesus replied, "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?  25 When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.  26 Now about the dead rising—have you not read in the book of Moses, in the account of the bush, how God said to him, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob' [Exodus 3:6]?  27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!"

 Matthew 22

23 That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question.  24 "Teacher," they said, "Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and have children for him.  25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother.  26 The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. 27 Finally, the woman died.  28 Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?" 29 Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.  30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.  31 But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you,  32 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob' [Exodus 3:6]? He is not the God of the dead but of the living."  33 When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.

Luke 20

27 Some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus with a question. 28 "Teacher," they said, "Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and have children for his brother.  29 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married a woman and died childless.  30 The second  31 and then the third married her, and in the same way the seven died, leaving no children.  32 Finally, the woman died too.  33 Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?"  34 Jesus replied, "The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, 36 and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God's children, since they are children of the resurrection.  37 But in the account of the bush, even Moses showed that the dead rise, for he calls the Lord 'the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' [Exodus 3:6]  38 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive."  39 Some of the teachers of the law responded, "Well said, teacher!"  40 And no one dared to ask him any more questions.

Luke 6:20-23 = Matt 5:3-12

Luke 6

20 Looking at his disciples, he said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.  22 Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. 23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven, for that is how their fathers treated the prophets.

24 But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. 25 Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. 26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.

 Matthew 5

3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.  4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.  5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.  6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.  7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.  9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.  10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.  11 "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.  12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Luke 10:13-15 = Matt 11:20-24

Luke 10

13 "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.  15 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths.

Matthew 11

20 Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.  21 "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.  22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.  23 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths.  If the  miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.  24 But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you."

Luke 12:2-7 = Matt 10:26-31

Luke 12

2 There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 3 What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.  4 "I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.  5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into Gehenna. Yes, I tell you, fear him.  6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies?  Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Matthew 10

26 "So do not be afraid of them. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.  28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.  29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.  30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  31 So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Luke 12:8-9 = Matt 10:32-33

Luke 12

8 I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.  9 But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God.

Matthew 10

32 Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.  33 But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

Luke 17:33 = Matt 10:39

Luke 17

Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

Matthew 10

Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Luke 10:20

However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

Luke 13:1-5

1 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.  2 Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way?  3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.  4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them--do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem?  5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

Luke 14:12-14

12 Then Jesus said to his host, "When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be  repaid.  13 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14 and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the  righteous."

Luke 16:19-31

19 "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores  21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.  22 "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man lso died and was buried.  23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.  24 So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'  25 "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'  27 "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'  29 "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'  30 "'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'  31 "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"

Matt 7:21-23

21 Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to me on that day, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in your name perform many miracles?" 23 And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from me you who work lawlessness."

Matt 10:5-7

5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: "Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.  6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7 As you go, preach this message: "The kingdom of heaven is near."

Matt 10:26

So do not be afraid of them. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.

Matt 12:36-37

36 But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.  37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."

Matt 19:28

Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Matt 13:16-17; Luke 10:23-24

Matthew 13

16 But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. 17 For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

Luke 10:23-24

23 Turning to the disciples, He said privately, "Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see, 24 for I say to you, that many prophets and kings wished to see the things which you see, and did not see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and did not hear them."
