& 1 Corinthians |
| 2:4: "God
also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various
miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?
" |
1
Cor 12:4-11 "There are diversities of gifts, but the same
Spirit. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each
one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom
through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through
the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another
gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working
of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits,
to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation
of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things,
distributing to each one individually as he wills." |
| 2:10: "For
it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are
all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain
of their salvation perfect through sufferings." |
Rom 11:36
"For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things,
to whom be glory forever. Amen."
1 Cor 8:6:
"Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all
things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom
are all things, and through whom we live." |
| 2:8: "You
have put all things in subjection under his feet [Ps 8:6]." |
1 Cor 15:27:
"For he has put all things under his feet" [Ps 8:6].
But when he says "all things are put under him," it
is evident that he who put all things under him is excepted." |
| 2:14: "Inasmuch
then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself
likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy
him who had the power of death, that is, the devil." |
1 Cor 15:26:
"The last enemy that will be destroyed is death." |
| 3:6: "But
Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold
fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the
end." |
Rom 5:2:
"Through whom also we have access by faith into this grace
in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." |
| 5:12: "For
though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone
to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God;
and you have come to need milk and not solid food." |
1 Cor 3:2:
"I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now
you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not
able." |
| 5:14: "But
solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those
who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both
good and evil." |
1 Cor 2:6:
"However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet
not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who
are coming to nothing." |
| 6:3: "And
this we will do if God permits." |
1 Cor 16:7:
"For I do not wish to see you now on the way; but I hope
to stay a while with you, if the Lord permits." |
| 6:12: "That
you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith
and patience inherit the promises. 13 For when God made a promise
to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, he swore
by himself." |
Rom 4:13:
"For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was
not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the
righteousness of faith. 20 He did not waver at the promise of
God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory
to God." |
| 9:26: "He
then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the
world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to
put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself." |
1 Cor 10:11:
"Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they
were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages
have come." |
| 10:33: "Partly
while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations,
and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated." |
1 Cor 4:9:
"For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last,
as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to
the world, both to angels and to men." |
| 10:38: "Now
the righteous shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, my
soul has no pleasure in him [Hab 2:4]." |
Rom 1:17
"For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith
to faith; as it is written, 'The righteous shall live by faith'.
[Hab 2:40]" |
11:12: "Therefore
from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the
stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which
is by the seashore."
|
Rom 4:19:
"And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own
body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and
the deadness of Sarah's womb." |
| 12:14: "Pursue
peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will
see the Lord." |
Rom 12:18:
"If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably
with all men."
Rom 14:19:
"Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace
and the things by which one may edify another."
|
| 13:1: "Let
brotherly love continue." |
Rom 12:10:
"Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love,
in honor giving preference to one another." |
| 13:2: "Do
not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly
entertained angels." |
Rom 12:13:
"Distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality." |
| 13:9: "Do
not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it
is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods
which have not profited those who have been occupied with them."
|
Rom 14:3-4:
"Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let
not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received
him. 4 Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master
he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God
is able to make him stand." |
| 13:20: "Now
may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead,
that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting
covenant." |
1 Cor
7:15: "But if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a
brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. But
God has called us to peace."
1 Cor 14:33:
"For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as
in all the churches of the saints." |
