"Judaea Capta"

This bronze sestertius coin was minted in 70 to commemorate the Roman conquest of Judea. On the one side of the coin there appears "Judaea capta"  ("Judea conquered"). Judea is depicted as a mourning woman sitting under a palm tree. The head of Vespasian, emperor of Rome in 70, appears on other side of the coin.
