ATTENTION: THIS IS A LICENSE, NOT A SALE.  THIS PRODUCT IS PROVIDED UNDER THE FOLLOWING LICENSE WHICH DEFINES WHAT YOU MAY DO WITH THE PRODUCT, AND CONTAINS LIMITATIONS ON WARRANTIES AND YOUR REMEDIES. 

IMPORTANT: CAREFULLY READ THIS LICENSE BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT, USING THE PRODUCT INDICATES YOUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS LICENSE AND AGREE TO ITS TERMS.  IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DELETE THIS PROGRAM FROM YOUR COMPUTER.  THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT IS YOUR PROOF OF LICENSE. 

DISTRIBUTION. This shareware software may be freely distributed, provided that:

  1. Such distribution includes only the original archive supplied by Electronic Christian Media(ECM). You may not alter, delete or add any files in the distribution archive.
  2. No money is charged to the person receiving the software, beyond reasonable cost of packaging and other overhead.

GRANT OF LICENSE. By receiving and/or using The Scroll, Bible Introduction, you accept the following User Agreement. You (an entity or a person) may use free of charge one copy of the software product identified above ("Software") on a single computer.  You may make one (1) archival copy of the Software. The Software may be used for personal use, educational purposes in schools and churches for teaching and instructional purposes only. Requests for quotations in excess of 2,000 words must be directed to and written approval received from Electronic Christian Media, 169 Woodleigh St. Moncton, NB E1C 9K2

Extracts from the Scroll, Bible Introductions may be used in a work in any form without the express permission of ECM, provided that the work is not offered for sale, the quotes or extracts do not total more than 2,000 words and no more than 50 copies are made in any form.  The images may be copied for educational use in any form.  The images must not be altered in any way other than to improve their appearance for any given output device.  Each extract or image must be clearly marked as having come from The Scroll, Bible Introductions, and must acknowledge the title and author of the article or image from which the item originated.  The following copyright notice must appear on the title plate or copyright page of the work: “Extracts from The Scroll, Bible Introductions © 2001 Electronic Christian Media.  All rights reserved”  

Any usage beyond this must be approved in writing by Electronic Christian Media.

COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARKS.  The Scroll, Bible Introductions for Windows software is copyright 2000 by David Graves, Electronic Christian Media. ("ECM") All rights reserved. All intellectual property rights in the Software and user documentation are owned by ECM or its suppliers and are protected by United States and Canadian copyright laws, other applicable copyright laws, and international treaty provisions.  ECM retains all rights not expressly granted. The Scroll, Bible Introductions for Windows software, documentation, or portions thereof may not be reproduced in any form, (except as permitted within the license agreement) without the written permission of David Graves, ECM.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. Because software is inherently complex and may not be completely free of errors, you are advised to verify your work and to make backup copies.  In no event will ECM be liable for indirect, special, incidental, economic, cover or consequential damages arising out of the use of or inability to use the Software or user documentation, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.  In no case shall ECM liability exceed the amount paid by you for the Software.  Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidential or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

RESTRICTED RIGHTS.  The software and documentation are provided with restricted rights if acquired by or for the U.S. Government and are proprietary to ECM.  Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S. Government, any state, local or federal goverment in or of Canada is subject to restrictions as set forth in subparagraph (c)(I)(iii) of The Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software-Restricted Rights atDFARS 252.227-7013, or subparagraph  (c)(1) and (2) of the Commercial Computer Software - Restricted Rights at 48 CFR 52.227-19,  or clause 18-52.227-86(d) of the NASA Supplement to the FAR, as applicable.

GOVERNING LAW.  This license is the entire agreement between us, supersedes any other agreement or discussions, oral or written and may not be changed except by a written signed agreement.  This License shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Provice of New Brunswick, Canada,  excluding the U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and the venue of any trial shall be in the City of Moncton, in the Province of New Brunswick, Canada.  If any provision of this License is declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed from the License and the other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.  The parties have requested that this Agreement and all documents contemplated hereby be drawn up in English.
