Sodom (Babedh-dhra, Jordan) which was destroyed by fire because of their immoral living. Genesis 19 Of the five cities of the plain four were destroyed by fire by God. Lot fled to Zoar and it was spared. Five cities have been discovered in this area of the Dead Sea. Four have a layer of char dating to this period.
