On Oct 21, 2001 the Turkish Government granted ArcImaging Permission Visas to perform research on Mount Ararat , the first time they had done so since 1990! Based on this historic permission, ArcImaging conducted a productive and successful 2001 Mount Ararat Research Expedition with hundreds of archaeological artifacts discovered. Survey of the Eastern Plateau was completed however with no evidence of Noah’s Ark. Focus has now turned to the Western Plateau. Research will include Synthetic Aperture Radar, Ice Penetrating Radar and Thermal Infrared Sensor of the Western Plateau. Also an archaeological surface survey will be conducted of the base of Mount Ararat for evidence of early civilizations.

Mark LaMonica will be Photographing the expedition .
